Infiniverse

So this has been dead for quite some time. Last autumn, I had a some DNS problems which took the website out for a while, but I wasn't in a hurry to fix it since, there's nothing going on. However, that is about to change.

As I've told before, me abandoning FreeBASIC coding in favor of C++ as well as web technologies has been rather fatal for Infiniverse. However, a few months back I did some HTML5/JavaScript experiments that produced something similar to the "noisedemo" techdemo, see picture below. It is very rough, proof of concept, but has potential.



Sadly further development was sidelined due to other projects, but now when I was thinking about what to do in the annual 7 Day Roguelike Challenge, I remembered this again.

I'm not going into details here yet, but unless something unexpected happens, by March 18th there should be some form of Infiniverse with actual gameplay elements and a goal, playable inside the browser.

Now the most hardest part is to wait until the challenge start (March 10th). :)

Just found your game since you updated Rogue Basin, and I have to say it looks pretty awesome. I don't much like browser/web-based games, so too bad you're not picking up the old version, but hopefully this new one can be just as slick. Lots of potential with such a great world to work with--looking forward to the 7DRL entry!

There is one on ebay, Phase I supporters ditieon, it's been there for quite a while. 179 euros. So obviously too much for these day's market since it's been there for weeks. From what I've been observing, the usual price is around 150 euros but it probably won't sell straight away, usually they stay available for quite a while. It's not a good time for expensive EN collectibles, I keep seeing the same ones every week.As for the value of course it's a matter of opinion.Seeing the prices of these things always makes me choke on my own saliva. I do like to collect stuff, but I'd never pay so much money, especially knowing the band doesn't get one cent. To own a supporters ditieon CD when I wasn't even part of the supporter's project? (sadly. please guys do another one. pleaaase.) What's the point? I'd take it for 15 euros. =D That's what I paid for the limited ditieon 4 CDs box set of Tabula Rasa I keep seeing on ebay for 270 euros or something. Sorry for the rant. Yeah I've seen people buying this kind of thing for 150 euros, so it can happen. Sometimes.
